Introductory Post
This isn’t my first go at a blog. Over the years have signed up for blogspot, tumbler and even micro.blog but never posted much. My inspiration this time was running across the home page of Mastodon user @chrisfarnham. Chris is a fellow ham radio and his home page neatly displays his recent radio activity but has a neat Mastodon integration that displays his last four Mastodon toots with links so readers can comment. This suits me, as Mastodon is the only social network I typically post on.
About Me
I’m a retired engineer, spent most of my working career implementing industrial automation software/hardware systems at Trihedral Engineering, chiefly with their VTScada SCADA platform. I’m a relatively new ham radio operator, callsign VE1KM and work almost exclusively HF CW (better known as Morse code ). I’m also a keen recreational cyclist and enjoy multi-day touring (supported and self-supported).
What I Plan to Post
Expect to see short posts on my two favourite activities as well as other things of interest
